Mid Week 9
Week 8 wasn't all that eventful, but I have been pretty tired in spite of all the rest. Today Mr.P and I went to our first appointment which was just the basics with a nurse practioner, Beverly. We see the doctor in ~2 weeks. During discussions of what may or may not run in our families, excema came up and I used that as my lead in when I called Mom later in the afternoon.
A: "Mom, have you officially been diagnosed with excema or do you just think that's it?"
M: "Why, do you have it now?"
A: "Well, no...but your first grandchild may be susceptible..."
M: "Are you pregnant!!"
She seemed genuinely excited to hear our news and I couldn't be happier about that! Oh, and the rasberry in my belly has graduated to an olive :-) Green and red for the holidays, MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Week 6 Recap
Today is the beginning of week 7 and we are headed back to Rochester after attending my first NFL game (Buffalo Bills vs. St.Louis Rams). I'm a little queasy, but I think it's car sickness more than anything. Luckily, I haven't been hit with morning sickness yet. My nipples are very sensitive and I've had cramping, bit that's it physically. Smells have bothered me more than usual...I'm like a bloodhound now. My only other news item of the week is not baby related. At pool on Thursday, I made the 9 ball on the break 4 games in a row! I also won the overall match and had zero scratches! Pregnancy is working out for me so far ;-)

Week 5 Recap
Today is the beginning of Week 6. Week 5 was exciting! We learned about being pregnant and all of a sudden, everything we do or think about revolves around this new bundle of joy! So far, I haven't felt any of the typical nausea. I do, however, feel like I'm already forgetting things though... Right now, I'm just enjoying the ride :-)

Happy Thanksgiving!
Since the wedding was a little over a month ago, neither Patrick nor I felt the need to plan anything other than a long weekend at home! We decided to try a few new dishes as our Thanksgiving meal. Of course, we searched Pinterest and came up with a nicely rounded feast. Here's what we decided on...
Main dish: Braided Spaghetti Bread
Side dish: Roasted Parmesan Creamed Onions
Side salad with Cheese Garlic Dressing
Dessert: Lemon Zucchini Loaf with Lemon Glaze
(this was ok, but if you're craving something deliciously lemony, I'd recommend these lemon bars, double the recipe and put in a 9x13, yum!)
Happy Thanksgiving!
